Growing Boy!

Bodee had another appointment yesterday with the pediatrician and all continues to look amazing. His breathing has slowed down and he is gaining weight like crazy. He weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs 10 oz yesterday which is almost a pound up from last Tuesday. He has also grown almost 3 inches since birth and is now 22 3/4 inches long. He continues to get blood taken as they check his "chemistry" but we are becoming experts and don't allow the nurses to try 100 times. We know which nurse to ask for and this causes both us and Bodee the least amout of discomfort possible. He is still sleeping well at night and by well I mean, he only wakes up to eat and then goes back to sleep quite easily. He is starting to making coo'ing noises and gave us a little smile yesterday...we will call it a smile although it could have been gas too :). Pop Kiki and Grandma Brenda are here this week to give us some loving so we have spent most of our time at the beach condo they rented. I love getting to hold Bodee and look out over the ocean...it was something I didn't think we would get to do when Bodee was first diagnosed because we thought we would still be in Raleigh when my parents came. We cherish every moment and every memory we are making with this little boy.

I will post Christmas pics as soon as I get them onto the computer and get the time. Dakota had a great Christmas and Santa was really good to her. It took her all day to open all her presents because she insisted on playing with everything right when she saw it. It was so cute to watch the excitement on her face.


One last thing...we are taking a poll as to whether Mark should keep his new hair-do. He thought he would be funny and fix his hair like this and I dared him to wear it all day. Well, as you know, challenging a Vierig with a dare is almost certain compliance :). He did wear it out and continued to act like it was his new favorite way to fix his hair...what do you think??? Should he keep it? I am sure you can all guess my answer!
