John Carter Myers is going home!!!! After 115 days (almost 4 months) in the Intensive Care Nursery at Duke University, another CDH superhero is heading home. Carter has truly been an inspiration to everyone and their parents have been so amazing! They have been working on feeding for quite sometime and Carter finally decided he was done with Duke...he started taking the bottle and hasn't looked back yet. Please continue to keep them in your prayers!
On another note, Davis Michael Ashworth was born at Duke at 1am this morning. The Ashworths are the 4th family to live in Parkers House (http://www.theparkerreesefoundation.com/). They will need your prayers and support in the coming weeks as Davis begins his battle with CDH. It is truly a rollercoaster ride that is unpredictable and scary! They need all the love and support they can get. Check out their blog in the "CDH Connection" section of our blog to keep up with his progress! Kick butt little one and fight hard!
With each success story we are constantly reminded of the many others that are just beginning this journey. Prayers for everyone that will deal with or has dealt with CDH are in great need! We will keep up with our daily lives on this blog, but will also continue to help raise awareness for CDH. I will be adding many new links and videos to the blog that I have wanted to add for quite a while but just haven't had the chance. We were truly blessed with Bodee's CDH success but want each of you who follow our blog to understand the seriousness of this defect! I can't believe we had never heard of it before the night Bodee was born. We would like to help change that and ask that each of you help us to do the same.

Hi. I found your blog via Andrew Burdette's. My son (now 17 months) was also born with LCDH. I had to write and tell you that your little guy is ADORABLE! I love the pic you took with the cell phone. What a smile! I hope he is healthy and doing well now.
