Bodee had his pre-op screening yesterday for his inguinal hernia surgery that will be tomorrow. (we won't find out a time until tonight but they are guessing he will be early in the morning since he is so little...yeah for me and a 2 1/2 hour drive at the crack of dawn) He weighed in at 11 lb 2 oz and 22 3/4 inches long. That puts him in the 25th percentile for weight and the 50th percentile for length. He is playing catch-up from the 3 weeks in the ICN since he was born in the 75th percentile for weight :). It was good to see that he is still gaining weight at a normal rate because he has started to be a little pickier about eating and doesn't seem to eat for as long as he used to. Buttttt, looks like he is doing just fine. Duke is amazing and they were great about letting me know everything that will happen with Bodee tomorrow. While it makes me sad that he will have to be put under and intubated again, I know he is in great hands and hopefully will wake up with no knowledge of any of it. Bodee and I will be spending the night in a room in the Pediatric Unit so they can monitor his breathing after the surgery. Mark will come up for part of the day but has to be back for work Thursday morning so it will be just me and little man having a sleepover! Bodee had to have his blood taken again and I never thought I would be so happy to have them stick his heal again. After watching the Naval Hospital try to take it from his arm and then finally from his scalp, the heal was a breeze...not necessarily for Bodee though as he screamed his head off the entire time. I will post an update as soon as he is done with surgery tomorrow as I am sure I will have a lot of free time...something I don't get too much of here lately. Love you all and the prayers are truly appreciated!
Here is a before and after picture. Bodee will smile for his daddy and then quickly realizes that he is not being held so out comes the lip...both are ADORABLE!

And lastly, because tons of people have been asking how Dakota is doing with baby brother, here is a picture I took without her knowing while in the car. She wants Bodee right next to her so she can "pet" him. I looked back and saw her holding his hand...she is actually rubbing it softly with her thumb. She loves her little brother and tells me everyday just how cute he is!

Good luck with Bodee's surgery- I know it will go great! That picture of the two of them is so sweet.
Thanks for the pictures! I love them. That's the first real smile I've seen, and the pic of Dakota holding his hand is so precious! She is an amazing little girl!

So Sweet! He is such a cutie and that smile is adorable. Such a heartbreaker. I'll be back Thursday evening, so I hope we don't miss you.
