3 months old

This is what Bodee thinks about the first 3 months of his life !!!

Bodee is officially 3 months old today! It seems like just yesterday we were going through the whirlwind of CDH and wondering what the future held for him. Today, he is such a great little boy. He sleeps most of the time (except at night lol) and is so mellow. He is changing right before our eyes as we are starting to see his personality come out. He smiles and coo's and even lets out a little laugh every now and then. It's hard to believe that he will almost be a year old when Mark gets home from this next deployment. I have to apologize in advance for how detailed I may end up being on this blog with the everyday happenings with Bodee & Dakota. I want to keep Mark as up to date as possible!

I mentioned in my previous post how amazed I was at how much Mark & I had done together in just 6 years of marriage. Well, looking back on Bodee's short 3 months, I am even more amazed at all he has been through, endured and overcome!! Where do I start....and this doesn't even include the numerous attempts (unsuccessful) to insert PIC lines, daily heel pricks, x-rays, blood tests, iv's, feeding tubes and replogle tubes...

1st iv - minutes old

intubated - 3 hours old

1st helicopter ride - 11 hours old

1st surgery - Diaphragmatic Hernia repair and Broviac Catheter - 2 days old

extubated - 4 days old

2nd procedure - Broviac Catheter removed - 13 days old

1st hospital discharge :) - 20 days old!!!

1st walk (carry) on the beach - 4 weeks old

1st ferry ride - Bald Head Island- 7 weeks old
1st golf cart ride - Bald Head Island - 7 weeks old

3rd surgery - Inguinal Hernia repair - 2 months old

1st trip to Myrtle Beach - 3 months old (this includes the Bass Pro Shop which is a huge accomplishment according to dad)

I sure hope things slow down for him and that his life is a little less eventful in the next few months. He is Mark's son, however so I don't expect it to last long :).

Bodee is one tough dude and we couldn't be more proud to have him as our little boy. He has taught us so much in these 3 short months! Here is a picture of him sleeping soundly on our couch. We didn't have a blanket on him so Dakota decided to share hers. She also thought he needed to have her stuffed kitty right next to him to keep him company.
