4 month checkup

He really wants to make the bottle work himself...just not quite there yet :)

Bodee had his 4 month well baby today which also meant more shots. Poor guy can't catch a break...seems like every time we walk through the hospital doors he is getting poked. I won't blame him when he's older if he hates going to the doctor :). He weighed in at 13lb 6oz and 24 1/2 inches long. I am going to have to say that the scale was off today because he was 12lb 6oz just last Wednesday. They never seem to get an accurate reading but the doctor said that even if he is anywhere in between those two weights, he is still doing great. He has been eating a lot better here lately so maybe he just decided to have a growth spurt. Bodee is right on track developmentally...hitting the 3 month goals for some things and the 5 month for others. What he lacks in some areas he is making up for in others. He talks all the time now and loves to stand up on my lap and try to mimic sounds that I make. He is drooling like crazy so the doc said he is either a natural drooler or there are some little teeth trying to make their way through. He couldn't see any signs just yet though so for now, he's just a drooler :). He hasn't done any rolling as of yet but he definitely makes his way around his crib at night. He wakes up in all different spots in his bed and ALWAYS gives me a huge grin when I go in to see him. He couples this with kicking his feet crazily and it just melts me. I have been able to send Mark videos of him doing these things so Mark can watch him change as well. While it is sad that he has to be away...it is absolutely amazing that we have the technology to be able to let him experience some of the things too. Bodee continues to be an amazingly mellow baby and we are daily reminded of what an amazing little boy he truly is.

I would also like to take a quick second to ask for your prayers for the families of these CDH warriors who recently earned their angel wings. The seriousness of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia has never been more real to me than in these past few months. Our hearts and thoughts go out to each of you and your little angels will be an inspiration to us for the rest of our lives!
Baby Joseph passed away on February 26th after a 23 day fight against CDH.
Baby Virginia Addison lost her fight on March 11th after 22 days of battling CDH.Baby Maxton passed away on March 21 after 18 days of fighting against CDH.

I thank God for Carter's life everynight when my miracle is peacefully sleeping in his crib. It's humbling. What a big boy...he's about to pass Carter in the weigh ins (Carter's at 14 lbs, 3 oz).

I pray everynight and thank God for Nayeli and thank for how blessed we are.
Bodee is so cute looking at his bottle. Nayeli gets excited when she sees her from a distance or my boob. LOL

I'm greatful I am aware of CDH and hope all is well for each of those families. I know I tell you all the time, but I want my baby to be as chill as Bodee!

*sniff, sniff* Ok, I'm totally crying after reading this blog with those precious babies who lost the battle with CDH.

What a miracle little Bodee is and I'm SO glad he's doing great.

We miss you all! xoxo
