are you serious?

Wow, I can't even believe that our little Bodee is 6 months old. I haven't given an update on the little guy in a while so I apologize if this gets a bit lengthy. There will also probably be a ton of pictures and that's because Mark isn't able to see the slideshows very good with his wonderful internet connection so I want to make sure he gets to see all of these pictures :). The last time I posted an update, I think I mentioned that Bodee was rolling over from back to front but getting very mad once he did because of his extreme dislike of being on his belly. Well, earlier this month he started rolling from front to back so he was able to get himself out of this uncomfortable position. I was so relieved when he did because it was getting very frustrating. He insisted on showing off his new skills to roll over but myself or Dakota always had to be right there to flip him over on his back. He's Mr. Independent now though. He actually uses rolling as a way to get around the living room and we frequently find him across the room and against the wall...upset again because he can't go any further :). You can tell by the following pics, that he doesn't mind being on his belly now that he has the strength to hold himself up! You will also see his new favorite sleeping position...I love that he tucks his arms up under his body!
Doesn't quite get the fact that the blanket is there for him to lay on...

Don't make fun of the increasing mullet :)...his hair is thinning and turning blonde like a little 3-year-old we know! Still no idea what color his blue, brown, green eyes will be ;) I had to giggle when I walked in to find him like this...he was out cold!

I also realized that I hadn't posted anything about Bodee eating solids. At his 4 month appointment, the Doc said that we could start trying to feed him rice cereal and then progress into fruits and veggies from there. I was getting ready to head to Utah so I kind of hesitated to make any changes. I started him slowly on rice and once he realized what was going on, he did great. Since then, he has done Oatmeal, Squash, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Green Beans, Peas (not a big fan of either of these so I'm still trying to introduce them to him...he didn't even bat an eye with the previous veggies but once I touched the green beans and peas to his lips, he was not havin it), applesauce, peaches, pears and bananas. He has his 6 month appointment on the 8th so I'm anxious to see where he can go from here. He grabs at absolutely everything I put in my mouth and even tries to drink from my cup. He makes the cutest little faces when I'm drinking and I can tell he's trying to con me into sharing :).

Cereal...not quite sure

Squash...yummy

Sweet Potatoes...in a big boy chair

Carrots...messy

Green Beans...he doesn't know what's comin

Peas...not havin it!

Sibling Feeding...he LOVED having his big sister feed him. He just smiled the entire time which made it hard for him to push the food to the back of his mouth. It just dribbled out the sides of his smile...too cute!

Now for the most recent thing he's been doing...sitting up. He's still propping himself up with his arms and takes numerous dives without the support but he's well on his way. He just sits there and freezes up like he's not sure what to do.And then just a couple of cute pics that show his little personality. He loves to smile and flirt with all the ladies.

OK...glad we have these blogs to keep each other updated! Solid foods! Thats so awesome. I am laughing at Dakota "helping" Bodee roll over. With Dakota feeding him and helping him roll around, what does that leave you? LOL! I love your family
