my beach dresses...and posing like a little princess. Guess it's good she can wear it right now while I still work on getting back into it :).
I know I'm way behind on the blog but I am working on it...I just had to post this one to make sure it was shared :). When Dakota gets out of the bath, it's always a fight to try to brush out her hair...definitely the only down side to her long beautiful curls. I always try to talk to her about things that take her mind off of me brushing through all the tangles and tonight, I decided I would ask her what she wanted to be when she grew up. Here's how the conversation went.
Mom: Dakota, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Dakota: (after thinking for a second) I think I want to be a scooter girl. I want to ride motorcycles (OH MAN!)
Mom: Really? Daddy will think that's really cool.
Dakota: Momma, when I get bigger can I wear your big girl clothes?
Mom: Sure, we can share clothes. That would be fun.
Dakota: Well what about your big dress...can I wear that when I'm bigger?
Mom: Which big dress are you talking about?
Dakota: The big white one you just wore with daddy in the picture.
Mom: Oh, my wedding dress? You want to wear my wedding dress when you get married?
Dakota: Yeah, sure. Can I wear it when I marry my daddy?
Mom: You want to marry your daddy? What about one of your boyfriends?
Dakota: No, I just want to marry my daddy!
So then I went into the kitchen and was telling Mariah about our conversation and she told me about something she heard Dakota say earlier while she was taking her and Bodee on a walk around the neighborhood. She said Dakota leaned over to Bodee, grabbed his hand and said, "Bodee, will you marry me?"
I'm not sure where all this marriage talk is coming from but it sure is cute to hear that she wants to marry her daddy and her brother. Dakota and Bodee's relationship continues to put a smile on my face. She is the best big sister and he would rather be sitting next to her than next to anyone else in the world...including me. (which says a lot since he is such a momma's boy these days).
More pics will follow...we have been super busy and I have tons of cute pics of the kiddos. My dad and Brenda just left and we had a ton of fun with them. We stayed really busy and spent most of our days by the pool or at the beach. My kind of vacation. Stay tuned...

Dakota is so darn cute! That is so sweet that Bodee loves to spend all his time with his big sister. I hope they continue this beautiful friendship as they get older.
