Alright, so since all seems to be kind of boring with the immediate family, we thought we would update you all on Mr. Joep. Today Mark had to take Joep to the vet for his routine check up which involved him being put under for a toof cleaning and some x-rays. Now, for those of you that have heard of him, you know that there is nothing "routine" about a vet visit with this guy. Joep's medical record has a big red tag that says "Military Working Dog: Vet Aggressive." He hasn't let Mark down in this area. They put Joep under today and had to give him double the amount of drugs than the other dogs because he kept resisting and fighting it. He even bit the Vet Tech while he was getting intubated and was supposed to be asleep. This dog has no "quit" in him. Here are a few pics from Mark's day at the vet. One of the Marines (a Staff Sergeant mind you) took the picture of him sleeping with him while he was trying to come to. New meaning to sleeping on the job I guess! The other pics are of Mark & Joep and they show a kinder gentler Joep...whatever that means. I truly have seen a transformation in their relationship and I couldn't ask for a better dog for Mark to take with him when he deploys! Joep loves Mark and the feeling is definitely mutual...some days :)

I WAS going to say we need to meet for dinner soon, but if THAT dog is anywhere near, then the date is off! just kidding :) The pictures are very sweet, no I mean, very manly of Mark and Joep.
It is so cool to see them bonded so close in a fairly short period of time. I love you!
I love the picture of Mark and Joep snuggling together. Awwww. BTW, Shane did the hairdo day. We are posting it. He got lots of stares and smiles. It was great! Nayeli smiled too.
