Finally Awake for Mom!

Today I actually got to hold Bodee while he was awake. He always chooses his awake time to be when dad is in with him. Today I got to see those beautiful eyes of his...still no idea on what color they will be but they are beautiful nonetheless. With Dakota, we could see right away that they would be blue but his aren't that way! We will keep you posted on that.

He spent most of his awake time looking at Mark's bullriding picture that is right next to him. You can see by the photo that he enjoys the colors on this pic and stares right at it. He is doing great with his pacifier but still hasn't grasped the bottle concept. Today Bodee is going back in for a quick little surgery to remove the Broviac Catheter they had put into his chest to administer his meds and fluids. Although it stinks that he has to have another procedure done, this is great news as the docs feel he no longer needs it. He isn't on any fluids or medications at this time although they may have to give him his diuretics again pending how the fluid build up is doing in his lungs. So far so good though.

Here is a picture of little Bodee acting just like a normal baby...screaming his head off! It is music to our ears even though he has quite a set of pipes on him already. He has also started pooping all by himself without the help of glycerin...I am sparing you the pictures of that and I am sure it is much appreciated.

And lastly, here is a picture of dad reading Bodee a book on Dog Training. Bodee doesn't seem quite ready to take on the family business but Mark is hoping to get him started early. The way I see it, we now have two little ones that will be perfectly capable of being our pooper scoopers! Maybe that's why Bodee is taking his time to eat and get out of here!
