On November 23rd, 2008 Bodee Mark Vierig was born with a left-sided Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). CDH is a life-threatening birth defect that occurs in approximately 1 in every 2500 live births and has a 50% survival rate. It involves a hole in the diaphragm of the fetus that allows intestinal organs to herniate into the chest cavity and therefore compresses the developing lungs. Please read our blog to see Bodee's amazing fight against CDH!

You guys all look great! You would hardly know what you and he have been through in the last 3 weeks looking at the newest pictures! I am so happy all is well!
Awww, lovely pictures of Bodee taking a bath :)
Fer
what a cutie! its great to see Bodee taking his first bath at home, home sweet home!
We're so glad you are finally home and that Bodee was healthy and stable enough to be there with you. Dakota all the sudden holding him looks like a big girl now and also looks like a great big sister! Can't wait to meet him and see all of you!
Looks like Bodee likes a bath about as much as Carter does. It's so wonderful to see your family at home...although we miss you terribly!
